Worcestershire Businesses Celebrate Success at the Chamber Awards

Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce revealed the winners of the Chamber Business Awards 2015 at a glittering event at Treetops within West Midland Safari and Leisure Park on the evening of Thursday 11 June, and many Worcestershire based businesses enjoyed success.

This year was the Chamber’s fourteenth Awards ceremony and had the theme of international trade, reflecting the Chamber’s desire to publicise the support that the Chamber and UK Trade & Investment can give businesses when trading internationally.

Winners from the Chamber’s business awards are as follows:

Mike Ashton, Chief Executive of Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, said: “The quality of the entries this year was outstanding and it was a pleasure to celebrate the success of these spectacular local businesses at our annual Awards evening.”

Keynote speaker at the event Sajid Javid, Conservative Member of Parliament for Bromsgrove and Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills and President of the Board of Trade said: “I would like to congratulate the award winners who have worked so hard to grow their businesses and create jobs across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. International trade is a vital part of our long-term economic plan and it was great to meet local businesses that are branching out into lucrative new markets.

“UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) advisors are working with over 50 medium-sized businesses in this region alone and there is a raft of support out there for businesses that want to start their export journey.”

Gary Woodman, Executive Director at the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), said: “My congratulations go to all of the awards winners in what was an excellent evening for celebrating the success of local businesses.
