Worcestershire County Council is getting ready for this year’s jobs fair and is reaching out to local businesses to exhibit their job opportunities.
To meet the needs of local businesses, Worcestershire County Council have been successfully running Worcestershire Jobs Fairs for the last three years. This year’s free event will be held at Worcester’s Guildhall on 17th September between 10am and 3pm.
The Jobs Fair offers great opportunities for businesses to showcase their vacancies and identify a range of potential new employees. Previously, more than 130 major employers of the County including Worcester Bosch, David Lloyd, Argos, Marks & Spencer, Ringway and Kanes Foods found what they were looking for at these events and were successful in filling their vacancies from over 7000 candidates.
2015’s Jobs Fair has already had a number of local businesses confirm their attendance including Worcester Warriors, Sainsbury’s, Malvern Instruments and Sanctuary Housing. All local employers in Worcestershire are invited to take advantage of the free exhibition space which will be awarded on a first come first serve basis.
Cllr Simon Geraghty, Cabinet Member for Economy, Skills and Infrastructure said: “We want to ensure local businesses have a skilled workforce, and that job seekers are able to find vacancies in an industry that is suited to them. Worcestershire’s biggest Jobs Fair is a great way for businesses to promote their vacancies to a high volume of potential candidates to find one that is best suited to their company.”
