During the autumn term as part of the PSHE programme Year 11 students from Haybridge High School, completed their lessons on careers education.
These lessons were designed to get students thinking about their future and what their next steps can be after Year 11.
Students filled in an exit ticket which asks students to fill in any career ideas they have and the relevant pathways that may lead them to this career, with options for university, apprenticeships and job training. This exit ticket was then brought along by students to their 1 to 1 careers interview with their set Careers Adviser.
With their Careers Adviser, they discussed the suitable courses they would like to do, how that fits in to their future plans and what Open Days they should to visit to help gain further knowledge on their preferred choice. During this time the sixth form offered an assembly for Year 11 students to educate them on life in the sixth form, the subject options and entry requirements.
