9 Students from Tudor Grange Academy recently had the opportunity to visit the BBC Mailbox in Birmingham.
The visit began with a tour of the television radio and online production studios where students were shown how ideas are transformed from the script to screen.
Students got to witness a real live recording of a radio show and were also able to get a feel for the jobs involved in production, from behind the scenes, engineering, producing, reporting, lighting and presenting.
As part of the tour, the students got to see real life working productions and they even got to meet a famous person, Mary Rhodes, presenter on Midlands Today.
The visit was part of the Tudor Grange’s ‘BBC Young Reporter project for 2019’.
