Worcestershire Innovation Wednesday for Support for Innovation and Access to Funding

Local businesses are being invited to attend the upcoming Worcestershire Innovation Wednesday event on 20 January 2016.

Building on the success of previous sessions, the Support for Innovation and Access to Funding workshop will provide information from experts as well as the opportunity to have questions answered.

Representatives from the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), who have helped thousands of businesses secure funding to drive innovation, will be discussing upcoming funding opportunities and QinetiQ will provide details on the breadth of funding bodies available and discuss what makes a good bid.

The session will run from 5pm – 8:30pm on 20 January at Open Space Meeting Rooms in Malvern and businesses are being urged to secure their place.

‘Worcestershire Innovation Wednesdays’, which are held bi-monthly to showcase innovation across Worcestershire, present new developments and opportunities and also provide an opportunity for like-minded business people to network. The sessions provide a space for businesses and experts to come together to share ideas and thoughts about innovation and creativity with guest speakers providing specialist insight.

Worcestershire Innovation Wednesdays were initiated by QinetiQ, the experts in defence, aerospace and security, the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and Worcestershire County Council.

Keith Mowbray, Strategic Business Development Director of QinetiQ Ltd, said: “Worcestershire Innovation Wednesday is designed to help local businesses to boost their innovation. It is clear that businesses from across the County are finding success through these informative events, as seen with the high attendance at previous meetings.
