Worcestershire LEP Chair, Mark Stansfeld 11 Oct:

This week I would like to shine a spotlight on the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards, which have returned with a new set of finalists confirmed for 2021.

I am thrilled to see the awards return after their absence last year due to COVID-19. The awards mark a key opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of all those involved in making apprenticeships a success.

This year’s awards received a large amount of nominations across the 6 categories.

With the challenges of COVID-19 and safety still a major concern, this year’s awards will run in a brand-new format, being broadcasted virtually across three days in November.

The new format will allow a specialised focus each day to help bring the world of apprenticeships to light, and recognise the current challenges facing employers, apprentices and training providers. Also sharing what the Worcestershire LEP and Worcestershire County Council are doing to support apprenticeships.

The final day will culminate in the overall Worcestershire Apprenticeship Employer and Apprentice of the Year Awards.

I would like to take this opportunity to pass on my congratulations to everyone who made it as a finalist. It is a huge achievement and a testament to your hard work and dedication.

I wish you all the best of luck at the awards next month.

I’d encourage those who are not involved in the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards to find out more about the awards and join in on the celebration.

On the Worcestershire Apprenticeships website, you can find out more about the awards and also information about either becoming or employing an apprentice.

Stay tuned for more information on the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards as we get closer to November.
