Today is the last day for apprentices, employers and schools to enter or nominate for the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards 2019.
This year will be the sixth edition of the prestigious awards, which are an initiative created by Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and Worcestershire County Council. I am delighted to say that the gold medallist former Paralympian, Marc Woods, will be hosting the awards at the West Midland Safari Park on Thursday 14th November.
The awards are free to enter and there are a wide range of categories to choose from, whether you’re an apprentice, school, careers lead, training provider, apprenticeship champion or an employer of any size. I would like to encourage those who have not yet entered the awards to do so today, before the deadline closes, to be in with a chance of winning an award.
We always enjoy hosting the evening awards as a way of recognising the value that apprenticeships can bring, both to the organisations and the apprentices themselves. I have been fortunate enough to attend several of the previous award evenings, which have all been very popular occasions and I am sure that this year’s awards will be another highly enjoyable night that celebrates all the hard work that goes into making apprenticeships such a success.
