We are delighted to have opened nominations for this year’s Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards 2018.

The awards are set to take place on Thursday 15 November 2018 at West Midland Safari Park. The event is the perfect opportunity to celebrate how local apprenticeships continue to thrive and develop, in terms of increasing participation and growing successes.

I am always pleased to see how the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards is able to draw such large support from the local business community. This support was made very clear at last year’s awards which brought in a record attendance of 360 people.

Last year was a highly entertaining awards ceremony thanks to the event host – Comedian and Radio 4 Star, Mark Watson. It was great to see Ben Hyde from Sanctuary Group win the Worcestershire Apprentice of the Year 2017 and CP Foods UK win Worcestershire Apprenticeship Employer of the Year award and I look forward to seeing who will be crowned as this year’s winners.

There is an incredible amount of local support that goes in to make Worcestershire’s apprenticeships the success that they are, and this year’s awards will celebrate 12 different categories that recognise the county’s most successful apprentices, schools, training providers and apprentice employers. I would encourage everyone to get involved with the awards by making their entries and nominations by the deadline of Friday 6 July 2018.

We are looking forward to seeing a number of exceptional entries and nominations and I would strongly encourage all interested parties to submit their entries as soon as possible.

I am also pleased to say that tables are now on sale, as well as sponsorship opportunities for the awards. To find out more about booking a table at the event and the sponsorship opportunities currently available, email awardsnominations@worcestershire.gov.uk
