An exciting development from the last few weeks which I would like to focus on is the announcement of recruitment opening for cohort 4 of BetaDen.

BetaDen is Worcestershire’s Primary technology Accelerator, located at Malvern Hills Science Park. The programme allows businesses and start-ups to take their idea all the way to market with a unique support package.

The team have already supported 22 early stage technology businesses, helping them develop successful routes to market, secure hundreds of thousands of pounds of investment and create new jobs in that time.

Chief Executive and Founder of BetaDen, Linda Smith spoke at our Worcestershire LEP Virtual Conference to share the journey of BetaDen so far with a previous cohort member. Together they were able to highlight just how important the support can be for businesses and why there is a need for this service.

Those interested can watch the highlight piece through the Worcestershire LEP website under the Future Economy section.

For cohort 4, BetaDen are looking for businesses involved with technology such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics to name a few examples. By becoming a part of BetaDen, businesses get a £10,000 proof of concept grant, mentoring from BetaDen’s handpicked team of commercial and technology experts and office space in recognised Malvern Hills Science Park facility.

Another aspect which stands BetaDen out is the fact that cohort businesses do not need to surrender equity in their businesses to access this accelerator. I believe this a great opportunity for a start-up or established business to explore new technology products with the comprehensive backing of the BetaDen team.

This is an opportunity not worth missing, if you or someone you know could benefit from the BetaDen package, visit their website to find out more on how you can apply today.
