With nominations for the 2018 Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards closing at the end of next week, I would like to remind businesses to submit their entries and nominations before the 6 July deadline to be in with a chance of winning an award.
Last year’s Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards attracted a record audience of 360 attendees and proved to be a special occasion for the many award winning apprentices, employers, schools and training providers from across the county.
The Worcestershire Apprenticeship Employer of the Year for 2017, CP Foods UK, has already shown their support for this year’s awards and they’re recommending other employers to submit their entries. CP Foods UK is a fantastic example of a business that has really benefitted from hiring apprentices and investing in the development of their own skilled workforce for the future. I would urge more businesses to consider doing the same and to visit the Worcestershire Apprenticeship website, www.worcsapprenticeships.org.uk for more information on hiring an apprentice.
I am delighted to see the 2017 Worcestershire Apprentice of the year Ben Hyde is also encouraging nominations for this year’s awards. Since winning Worcestershire Apprentice of the year, Ben has gone on to champion the fantastic work being done by apprentices right across Worcestershire through promoting the positive message of apprenticeships at local and regional jobs fairs and events.
