Worcestershire is continuing to grow its reputation as a leading location for business in cyber, defence and IT, and I would encourage all local companies working in these sectors to attend the upcoming Three Counties Defence and Security Expo.
The event will be held at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, on 31 May 2018. Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership will be attending the event alongside a number of local partners including Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and Worcestershire Business Central.
The event will focus on the theme of innovation and I am delighted that many of Worcestershire’s most innovative and creative businesses have already registered their place. With an opportunity to network with some of the Three Counties’ most forward-thinking businesses, the event provides a great chance for Worcestershire’s businesses to make some very important new contacts.
Leading defence and security experts from prime industry contractors such as Vodafone, BAE Systems and Thales will also presenting and exhibiting, alongside leading defence and security businesses and experts based in the Three Counties, including QinetiQ.
A number of high profile speakers will also be present at the event, including Brigadier Robin Sergeant, Head of Future Force Development of the British Army; Danny Wootton, Head of Innovation, MoD and Colonel Jani Marok RMR, Head of the Royal Marine Reserves. Delegates will also be able to benefit from a full day of workshops and presentations covering international trade, grants and finance and practical information about doing business with the MoD.
I would encourage all companies involved in cyber security, information security and the broader defence and security industry to get involved with this event and to register attendance as soon as possible.
You can find more information on this event and the link to register on the Worcestershire LEP website.
