We are delighted to have announced the eight companies that will be participating in the second cohort of BetaDen, Worcestershire’s first dedicated technology accelerator.
The successful companies joining BetaDen’s second cohort are: Impact Aerial – a drone technology company using Artificial Intelligence (AI), Utelize – an IT based platform for private telecoms, Voice Biometrics – Identity authentication as a service, Data Legacy – an online data platform developed to protect your Data Legacy after life. These exciting companies will also be joined in August by: Green Gorilla Apps – an online platform based within the sporting sector, Wearable Link – wearable technology incorporating AI, CYDON – A decentralised data management platform for secure data storage and Hero Skin – wearable technology within extreme sports.
The companies specialise in a wide spectrum of emerging technologies, and will begin their journey on the 29th of August before spending the following 9 months supported by specialist coaching and mentoring. This will be designed to help the companies to develop their products and solutions towards their commercial route to market.
BetaDen is just one of the programmes that are helping Worcestershire to build its reputation as one of the UK’s recognised technology hubs. When you combine our innovative entrepreneurship with the county’s innovative technologies like the Worcestershire 5G testbed, it is no surprise that Worcestershire is helping to drive innovation in the UK and develop a thriving tech sector.
There are plenty of quick opportunities to boost innovation in your business and I would encourage you to consider the programme of events for the Worcestershire tech based community over the coming months. These include dedicated tech talks and business clinics which are held at Malvern Hills Science Park.
