Over 150 businesspeople in Worcestershire have already signed up to attend Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership’s inaugural conference being held on Thursday 23rd February 2012 at Worcester Warriors, Sixways Stadium.
The free-to-attend event will see Worcestershire LEP executives provide a review of first year progress and, importantly, will set out priorities and actions for the year ahead and beyond.
It will also provide a platform for celebration of the work being undertaken in the county to create jobs and economic growth. Speakers will feedback on how the new partnership can help shape opportunities to support local projects and initiatives to attract new investment in local businesses, people and infrastructure to benefit Worcestershire’s economy.
Worcestershire LEP Chair, Peter Pawsey, will lead diverse business contributions ranging from entrepreneurialism and apprenticeship schemes to young people mentoring and international trade opportunities in the global market place.
Cecil Duckworth OBE, the founder of Worcester, Bosch, will give a keynote address on the 50th anniversary of starting the Worcester engineering company.
Mr Pawsey said: “This will be a major opportunity for businesses across Worcestershire to get involved and find out what the Partnership has been working on over the past year, as well as taking away useful information on a variety of key issues that have a direct bearing on our future economic success.”
