Worcestershire Skills Show set to host biggest event of its kind for young people within the county

Worcestershire Skills Show, delivered as part of the National Careers and Enterprise Company initiative, is offering the opportunity for local businesses to showcase from 9am – 7pm at Sixways Stadium, Worcester on Wednesday 8 March, 2017.

The show, which is open to sixth formers and school leavers, is the biggest event of its kind within the county. Last year more than 1,500 students visited the show and this year the numbers are expected to be higher.

The event organisers are looking for both large and SME sized businesses to come and showcase at the free event. Each stand should feature some sort of activity which demonstrates what the business does, while at the same time pulls the crowds to the stand.

Cllr Ken Pollock, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Economy, Skills and Infrastructure said of the event last year: “As well as helping young people, the show is a superb opportunity for employers to showcase the careers they can offer, and to make an investment in their workforce of the future. The attendance last year was fantastic, and it is wonderful to see the Worcestershire Skills Show so well supported and enjoyed.”
