World War Veterans’ film available for Remembrance Day

A new short remembrance film entitled  “We Did Our Bit”  is now available to view online via Worcestershire County Council’s YouTube Channel.

This 12 minute film has been produced by Mike Jackson at Splash TV and comprises a powerful series of interviews with World War Veterans.

Over 50 organisations have committed to show the film on or around Remembrance Day, including schools and libraries, churches, WIs,  businesses and councils, communities and volunteers – as well as numerous Veterans’ groups from around the county.

The LEP is committed to the Armed Forces’ Community Covenant in Worcestershire and is working with partners particularly on employment and skills initiatives.  This includes, on 5 December, a ‘Transition Fair’ where Worcestershire businesses can meet exiting Armed Forces personnel to discuss potential employment opportunities.  More details on this initiative are available via David Irish at the LEP Office.
