Following on from the success last year at Info Security Europe, Midlands Cyber are returning again this year in partnership with six Midlands based cyber companies.
The six companies include; Borwell Ltd (Malvern), Ice Blue (Kidderminster), Air IT (Nottingham), Cyber Owl (Warwick), Data Solver (Milton Keynes) and Managed Enterprise Technologies (Birmingham) who will offer a showcase of what the Midlands has to offer from right across the region.
Last year the Midlands Cyber team welcomed a delegation from the State of Maryland at Info Security 2017, since then the team have gone on to sign an MOU between the two regions and taken a return delegation back to Maryland last October. For 2018, Midlands Cyber will be co-located with the State of Maryland, who will bring 10 Maryland cyber businesses to exhibit at the show alongside six Midlands based businesses. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the growing relationship with Maryland and to promote both trade and investment opportunities in the UK and the US.
Gary Woodman, Chief Executive, Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “We are delighted that the Maryland delegates are returning to Info Security, it gives both regions the opportunity to develop the existing relationship and gives our companies a chance to engage with businesses from overseas. We will be advocating the Midlands as the UK’s leading location for Cyber advantage and a serious contender for investors looking to locate a cyber based business, in this thriving heart of the UK.”
Linda Smith, Director of Enterprise, Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “Info Security Europe is a huge show and we are looking forward to showcasing what the Midlands have to offer on such a prominent stage.
The need for next generation cyber solutions is growing the sector across the region at a rapid rate, a new Tech accelerator and accesses to a 5G test bed are part of the assets development in the region.”
